|Objectives and learning outcomes of the course unit:|
|Student will gain the overview of the energy policy development of the European Community and its impact on national energy policies. They can analyze and synthesize its impact on energy development at regional level and take decisions for the implementation of measures for efficient use of local energy sources.|

The mechanism of the European energy policy (EEP) functioning.
Common energy market.
Development of a common EU energy market.
The EU's role in ensuring adequate energy infrastructure.
The environmental dimensions of the EU, the Kyoto Protocol.
The EU's role in global emissions reductions.
