Objectives and learning outcomes of the course unit:
The goal of the subject is to acquaint students with the functioning of the economy as a whole, to know the basic macroeconomic problems, causes and effects of macroeconomic instability and the tools of macroeconomic stabilization policies, with emphasis on the role of the public sector.
 
Course contents:
The subject deals with economic principles of functioning of the national economy as a whole, macroeconomic objectives, instruments to achieve these goals and methods for measuring economic performance. Contents of the subject is also knowledge of the causes and impact of economic cycles, inflation, unemployment and options of implementation of stabilization tools of fiscal, monetary, currency and foreign economic policy.
