For grade A it is necessary to gain at least 93 points, for grade B at least 86 points, for grade C at least 79 points, for grade D at least 72 points, and for grade E at least 64 points. Student obtains credits if an evaluation is from A to E.
Objectives and learning outcomes of the course unit:
The aim of study is to obtain basic knowledge about horticultural crop reproduction. Another aim is to know new technologies at production of vegetable and flower seeds and prepare students for work with legislative and law area at production and sale of seeds. After copletion of the subject the student is able to apply knowledge in horticultural practice.
Course contents:
Organization of seed growing in Slovakia. The legislative and law regulations in the area of seed growing in SR. Conditions for import and export of seeds, international international seed growing organizations. Flowering biology and pollination ratios of vegetables and flowers. Breeding methods of vegetables and flowers.
