Assesment methods :
Midterm written exam 30 points, final written exam 30 points, assignment project paper with presentation 30 points, coursework 10 points. The student can achieve the evaluation grade A if he receives at least 93 points, grade B if he receives at least 86 points, grade C if he receives at least 79 points, grade D if he receives at least 72 points and grade E if he receives at least 64 points.
Objectives and learning outcomes of the course unit:
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the most essential topics in macroeconomics and to provide a broad grounding for the more detailed analysis. Theory-oriented lectures will be accompanied by a series of tutorial classes in which problem sets will be discussed.
Course contents:
Measuring economic indicators, IS-LM model and AS-AD model,Economic Growth, Capital Accumulation,
Technological Progress, Expectations, Macroeconomic Policy in an Open Economy, Monetary Integration and the Global Finance System.
