|In the course of the semester will be 6 interim tests (30%) and semester project - presented on the website (10%), which together will constitute 40% of the total evaluation. The oral examination will consist of 3 parts (2 of theoretical questions): |
1 Computer Networks - Technical section (Questions are composed of lectures)
2 UNIX (Questions are composed of lectures, you can use manual pages)
3 Practical part (Questions are formed from entering the exercise, you can use manual pages)
To obtain evaluation A to be achieved 93 points, to obtain user B at least 86 points, 79 points C assessment, evaluation D 72 points, 64 points E evaluation.
Objectives and learning outcomes of the course unit:
After completing the course the student will get basic theoretical knowledge about computer networks , particularly in the area of network technology, network topology, and in the use of different services and applications what the network in application layer offers. Will be able to compare network operating systems, particularly Windows and UNIX. Will be able to apply basic algorithms from first year of study, the creation of simple scripts in UNIX without using a programming language. Successful completion of course gives students the prerequisites for the creation of documents to the basic design of computer networks in the workplace, respectively proposal for its innovation. Also expanding managerial knowledge and skills will help in decision-making processes relating to the computer network and its use in practice.
Basic concepts. Distribution of computer networks (CN). Types of networks. Computer network at SUA. Active network devices. Network architecture. Protocols. Security. Differences between MS Windows and UNIX. UNIX file structure. User interface (shell commands, basics of shell programming - without using a programming language). Processes and signals. Principles of hypertext documents.
