Assesment methods :
The students obtain the following evaluation from partial written exam (max. 15 points) the activity during seminars (5 points), the presentation and preparation of semestral project (20 points) and the final written exam (60 points). Total evaluation is 100 points. Based on the information above the students can achieve the evaluation A (minimum 93 points), B (minimum 86 points), C (minimum 79 points), D (minimum 72 points) and E (minimum 64 points).
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The students have obtained the basic knowledge from the theory of management. They will understand to the basic functions (planning, organization, leadership and controlling). They will obtain the knowledge about the business environment and the factors which are influencing this environment. The main attention is devoted the the foundation of business entities, how to prepare the business plan and to the human resource management. After completion of the subject the student is able to understand the basic theoretical problems in management.
Course contents:
This subject deals with managerial approaches in relation to preparation and realization of production programmes in agrifood enterprises with regard to crop and animal production as well as food production. The students receive the basic theoretical background in relation to leadership, communication and motivation of employees. The attention is devoted to the foundation of enterprises (physical and legal forms).
