The units forming the course syllabus:
1.Introduction (allowance 2/2)
a.Lecture: Definitions of terms from the field of trade. Understanding of trade from economic a business point of view.
b.Seminar: Organisational issues. Giving assignments for final project. Introduction to entrepreneurship. Historical view on entrepreneurship. New approaches to entrepreneurship.

2.Principles of entrepreneurship (allowance 2/2)
a.Lecture: Entrepreneurship. Definition of basic terms -- enterprise, entrepreneurship, businessman. The principle of entrepreneurship. General conditions of the invention and development of entrepreneurship.
b.Seminar: Entry options in entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship as a path leading to independence. Factors influencing entry into business. Test of entrepreneurial skills.

3.Entrepreneurship and its risks (allowance 2/2)
a.Lecture: Motives for entrepreneurship and its risks. Status of entrepreneur versus employee. Risks associated with business activity.
b.Seminar: The personality of the entrepreneur. Movie: The Entrepreneur Profession. Examples of the successfulness of entrepreneurs.

4.Business enterprise (allowance 2/2)
a.Lecture: Business Enterprise. The content of the basic categories of business enterprise. Legal background of business enterprise. Legal forms of business - advantages, disadvantages.
b.Seminar: Entrepreneurship of women. The principle of women entrepreneurship and its importance in our country and in the world. Examples of successful women entrepreneurs.

5.Business environment (allowance 2/2)
a.Lecture: Business environment. Terms of business entrepreneurship (legislation, tax burden, availability of credit loans). Support and funding sources of business activity.
b.Seminar: The current state of business activity in Slovakia. Analysis of the business environment in Slovakia. Task 1: Identifying barriers of doing business in Slovakia.

6.Corporate social responsibility (allowance 2/2)
a.Lecture: Social responsibility. Fields of CSR. An ethical framework for business.
b.Seminar: Presenting the solution of Task 1.

7.Family business (allowance 2/2)
a.Lecture: Entrepreneurship in form of family businesses. Types of family businesses. Positive and negative aspects of family businesses. Conflicts and rivalries in the family business.
b.Seminar: Written test.

8.Business process (allowance 2/2)
a.Lecture: The business process. The invention and evaluation of business opportunities. Creating a business plan. Resources for entrepreneurship. Business management. Managing business activities.
b.Seminar: Preparing for entrepreneurship. Choice of legal form. Decisions about the way of financing business. Selection of suitable premises for business. Duties of entrepreneur. Solving case studies.

9.Founding know-how (allowance 2/2)
a.Lecture: Founding know-how. Founders' purpose. Preparing founding budget.
b.Seminar: Current issues of business. Solving case studies.

10.Business plan (allowance 2/2)
a.Lecture: Business Plan. The importance of a business plan. Types of business plans. The structure of a business plan. Evaluation and defense of business plan.
b.Seminar: Business plan. Samples of business plans.

11.Concept of business (allowance 2/2)
a.Lecture: The concept of business. Market research. Analysis of competition. The mission of the company and the field of business. The formulation of the strategy of business firm. Achieving and sustainability of competitive advantage of business enterprise.
b.Seminar: Task 2: Processing of the business plan.

12.Marketing of business enterprise (allowance 2/2)
a.Lecture: Marketing of business enterprise. Marketing environment of business firm. The relationship between marketing and business activity. Specifics of marketing in the business enterprise.
b.Seminar: Business and marketing plan. Examples.

13.Marketing mix of a business (allowance 2/2)
a.Lecture: Marketing mix of a business. Strategic decisions about 4P in business firm. Building customer loyalty.
b.Seminar: Presenting the solution of Task 2.
