Assesment methods :
During the semester 2 written exams (30 points), semester work (10 points).
The final exam is combination (written and oral) for 60 points.
For final A level student must gain at least 93 points, for B level 86 points, C level 79 points, D level 72 points and E level 64 points. Student will gain credits for course if level is from A to E.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The goal is to convey to students of modern theoretical knowledge and practical procedures for undertaking the modeling, planning, managing and developing the technological conditions of production and farming practices in cattle breeding.
Course contents:
Student studying technological and biological requirements for farming environment different categories of cattle. The student gains knowledge of herd management, feeding, reproduction, breeding, nursing, technological systems, milking, breeding and economic records in the production of beef and milk in different technological production systems. He will acquire knowledge of technical-technological, organizational and economic models in animal husbandry. Student will acquire of the application of PC technology in the management of cattle breeding. Dairy farm management. Management of forage base. Individual systems will learn to recognize under practical exercises on farms.
