Assesment methods :
The term grade will consist of continuous assessment – one written exams (20 points each), presentation of seminar work (10 points) and end-of-term examination – oral exam 10points and (written exam 50points). Grading scale: letter grade A requires minimum 93 points, letter grade B requires minimum 86 points, letter grade C requires minimum 79 points, letter grade D requires minimum 72 points, letter grade E requires minimum 64 points. A student may earn units of credits in grading scale from A to E.
 
Objectives and learning outcomes of the course unit:
Acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge of the current evaluation of weed in autumn and spring aspect. Can perform recording and then choose the possible regulatory intervention. He can anticipate possible damage caused by the occurrence of weeds at the post. Solution proposal weed control soil and vegetation. Synthetic solution to the problem of weeds in different land management systems.
 
Course contents:
The economic importance of weeds - generally. Harmfulness of weeds. Actual weed infestation - the method of its calculation. Characteristics of biological weed groups and important species. Biological and botanical characteristics of standard and quarantine weed species. Ecological index of weeds in agro-ecosystems and its importance. Weeds in breeding and seed practice, a set of measures for cognition weeds. Preventive, indirect and direct methods of weed control. Weed control by mechanical and chemical means, with respect to environmental, economic and ecological aspects of weed control. Herbicides, meaning applications in plantations. Evaluate the effect of herbicides on weeds and crop plants. Field exercises and field trips are made to the VPP SPU, s.r.o. Kolíňany and SBER Dolná Malanta.
