The units forming the course syllabus:
The philosophy of sustainable and ecological agriculture,during of crop rotations, principles for biodiversity and sustainability criteria for assessing crop rotation, the balance of organic matter and carbon. Principles of soil management, technology for ecological systems, ecological plant nutrition, balance of major nutrients in crop rotation, selection of varieties, non-chemical control methods of weed regulation, agro-ecological principles of plant protection, and new methods in assessing the quality of organic products. The impact of ecological agriculture on environmental indicators and resource utilization, market development and production in the EU and the Slovak Republic, the economic indicators of ecological farming entities in the EU and Slovak republic. Field trips and excursion are made on the ecological farms in the Slovak Republic.
