Assesment methods :
During semester 1 written test - 10 points, elaboration and presentation of seminar work - 30 points, final written test - 60 points.Grading scale: letter grade A requires minimum 93 points, letter grade B requires minimum 86 points, letter grade C requires minimum 79 points, letter grade D requires minimum 72 points, letter grade E requires minimum 64 points.
A student may earn units of credits in grading scale from A to E.
 
Objectives and learning outcomes of the course unit:
Student understands the principles of agricultural development on the present territory of Slovakia in context of economic and political changes, is able to analyze main forces of agricultural and rural development from historical view point.
 
Course contents:
Agricultural activities and principles of Slavs' farming system, agricultural activities in the era of Hungary kingdom, in the era of Habsburgs' monarchy and in the period between 1st and 2nd World War. Development of agricultural technologies and agrarian land reform in the years after 2nd World War. Development of agricultural technologies during the building of socialistic system and agriculture in the years after 1990s. Development of rural settlements and modern renovation of Slovak villages. Exkursion to agricultural museum.
