To obtain marking as A - excelent must be obtained at least 93 points, for marking as B - very good must be obtained at least 86 points, for marking as C – good must be obtained at least 79 points, for marking as D - satisfactory must be obtained at least 72 points, and for marking as E – sufficient must be obtained at least 64 points. Student obtains a course-credit for subject in the case of marking from A to E.
Objectives and learning outcomes of the course unit:
After completion of the subject the student understands issues of water management, is able to solve surface water runoff control and protection agricultural landscapes against the harmful effects of water, is able to apply knowledge on the principles of rational use of water resources in practice, is able to analyze large data on water resources, is able to identify the impact of land drainage systems on the environment and negative impacts on water resources.
Course contents:
Water management - concept, purpose, content, significance and role in the national economy and the environment. Water resources, the possibility of rational use and protection from depletion and pollution. Regulating surface water runoff and protect agricultural land from the damaging effects of water. Impact hydroamelioration systems on the environment. Organization of water management, the legislative and technical rationalization. International relations and cooperation in water management.
