Assesment methods :
During the semester the presentation of the seminar work for 40 points will be done. Final written exam will be for 60 points. To obtain a mark A at least 93 points must be obtained for the evaluation of B at least 86 points, for C at least 79 points for mark D minimum 72 points and for E at least 64 points must be obtained.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Goal of the subject is to provide knowledge on physiological aspects of healthy nutrition of humans. Student understands the human metabolic functions and is able to apply gained knowledge in the study of other subjects
Course contents:
The issue of proper human nutrition from the perspective of physiology and energy metabolism. Digestion and metabolism of nutrients, intermediate transformation and regulation of metabolic processes. Physiology of starvation and overnutrition, disorders of protein, carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. Effect of nutrition on the internal environment as a modulating factor determining the life processes of the organism.
