Assesment methods :
During the seminar 3 written tests will be realised, each for 10 points. To obtain the credit student needs to get from minimum two tests at least 5 points from each of them.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The student understands the basic principles of chemical nomenclature and chemical equations, the obtained knowledge can implicate in creation of the names and formulas of organic compounds and equations of chemical reactions. After completion of the subject the student can apply the knowledge in follow-up subjects such as Organic chemistry and Food Chemistry.
Course contents:
Repetition of basic knowledge of organic chemistry in the range of grammar school curriculum. Chemical terminology. The aim of the seminar is to provide graduates of secondary schools the necessary knowledge for successful management of organic chemistry at SUA.
