Assesment methods :
During the semester, 1 written test (for 20 points) and semestral student work (20 points) and a final written exam for 60 points will be realised. For the evaluation A it is necessary to obtain at least 93 points, for the evaluation B at least 86 points, for the evaluation C at least 79 points, for the evaluation D at least 72 points and for the evaluation E at least 64 points.
 
Objectives and learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students will acquire basic knowledge in the evaluation of the most important indicators of water, the most important factors in chemical properties of natural, waste water. After completion of the subject the student is able to identify the basic methods of analytical determination.
 
Course contents:
Theoretical knowledge about the structure and properties of water as a chemical compound. Solubility as a basic feature of the water, aqueous solutions and formulations. Properties of inorganic and organic substances contained in water. Types of treatment - natural, drinking, and wastewater utility, their characteristic chemistry. Analytical methods for the determination of selected indicators in water. Legislation in Slovakia.
