Objectives and learning outcomes of the course unit:
The objective of the subject is to provide students with information on the policy of small and medium enterprices of the European Union with stress to learn the promotion possibilities and how to use the financial sources of this policy measures.After completion of the subject the student is able to apply knowledge by the preparation of the basic project preparation requirements for business support.
 
Course contents:
The subject focus on business support through funds and other instruments of the European Union. Subject defines the business environment in the EU, the position of SMEs in the EU economy and Slovakia, evaluates the quality of the business environment, the opportunities, but also the barriers standing in the way of its further development. Subject is mainly focused on small and medium enterprises in the EU and to inform EU policy in support of small and medium enterprises. Also brings more opportunities and business opportunities for the EU internal market.
