Assesment methods :
Course credit: Elaboration of practical tasks.

To obtain marking as A – excellent, it must be obtained at least 93 points, for marking as B - very good must be obtained at least 86 points, for marking as C – good must be obtained at least 79 points, for marking as D - satisfactory must be obtained at least 72 points, and for marking as E – sufficient must be obtained at least 64 points. Student obtains a course-credit for subject in the case of marking from A to E.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The subject is focused on students learning acquisition with knowledge and skills needed to develop mathematical model for the soil water regime modelling.
Course contents:
The objectives of the mathematical modelling, role of the mathematical models in simulation of biological and physical processes. Principles of mathematical model creation. Using of computers for building of the simulation models. Basics of MS Excel. Statistical methods - utilization for mathematical modelling. Main characteristics of the natural environment. Characterization of relationships in the system of the atmosphere - soil - plant. Principles of water flow into soil environment. Evapotranspiration. The balance of water into the soil profile. Input data into the model. Building of mathematical model of the water balance into the soil profile in irrigated crop production system. Case study with the mathematical model. Use of CropWat software for operation modelling of irrigation in crop production system.
