During the semester students elaborate semester project, which is evaluated by maximum 20 points in the last week of semester.


To obtain assessment A it is necessary to obtain at least 93 points, for the assessment of B at least 86 points, C assessment at least 79 points, for the assessment of D at least 72 points and for E assessment at least 64 points. Student receives credit for the subject in the case of evaluation mark from A to E.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The aim of this subject is to introduce the conditions causing wind erosion problem, to evaluate the intensity of wind erosion (terrain measurments, mathematic modelation in GIS), to introduce the erosive protection and the project of erosion protection in the landscape planning
Course contents:
Range and harmfulness of wind erosion. Theory of soil parts movement caused by wind. Factors that effect intensity and process of wind erosion: soil factors, climate factors, geographical factors, anthropological conditions. Methods of soil erodiblity by wind. Soil protection before wind erosion: organization control measures, agro technical control measures, soil structure treatment and improvement of soil water management on lightweight soil, special agricultural control measures, technical measures, planting trees and windbreaks.
