Active work in seminars.
Processing of written project of dissertation.
Oral presentation of its own dissertation project.
To reach next described grades of evaluation must be obtained at least appropriate number of points: the A grade - at least 93 points; the B grade - at least 86 points; the C grade - at least 79 points; the D grade - at least 72 points; the E grade - at least 64 points.
Student receives credits in case of evaluation grade from A to E.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The student will understand the principles of scientific research in the field of landscape and garden design, will be able to use the methodology of scientific research in solving his own dissertation project.
Course contents:
The principles and content of scientific research. Steps to be performed in the research process: problem formulation, compilation an overview of literature findings, setting objectives, preparing experimental or research model, collection, analysis and interpretation of data, compilation of conclusions. The current strategies of research in landscape architecture. Research design - a method of obtaining information and data. Research methods - methods that are applied in the research program. The actual research techniques - the means of data collection and analysis
