Assesment methods :
Evaluation during the course: an continuous test (20 points), preparation and presentation of seminary work (20 points)
Final assessment: exam (written exam (60 points) + evaluation during the semester (40 points))
To obtain the evaluation A, it is necessary to obtain at least 93 points, for the evaluation B at least 86 points, for the evaluation C at least 79 points, for the evaluation D at least 72 points, and for the evaluation E at least 64 points.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The aim of this course is acquaint students with the basic concepts and principles of ethics, history of ethics, relationship between morality and ethics, between morality and law, between morality and politics, to define the problems of ethics in public administration.
The aim is to understand the ethical principles of public administration, to become acquainted with the code of ethics of employees and the need for its respecting in daily practice.
The student will understand the basic concepts and principles of ethics and morality, he will be able to identify the basic ethical problems in public administration and to present solutions to these problems.
Course contents:
1st Ethics and Public Administration. Basic concepts and their characteristics
2nd Ethics, morality, law and politics as normative systems
3rd History of ethics - Antiquity, Middle Ages
4th Applied ethics - social, individual, professional ethics
5th Ethics and Values in Public Administration, selected tools of ethics infrastructure
6th Corruption as a selected a negative phenomenon

1st Introduction to exercises, views on ethics, the principle of justice, the principle of the common good
2nd Moral norms, conscience, morality and ethos, virtue, tolerance and prosociality
3rd History of Ethics - Modern Age
4th Professional ethics, civil service law
5th Code of Ethics for state employees
6th The principles of ethics in public administration according to the OECD, training employees to ethical behavior, ethical audit
7th Current problems of an ethical nature (intolerance, prejudice, Gyg ring syndrome, bullying, mobbing, etc.)
