Learning outcomes of the course unit:
After completion of the subject the student understands the objectives of EU, functioning of EU, history, goals, policies, EU institutions. The student understands the EU decision-making process, structure of EU, EU budget and realization of EU exclusive, common and coordinated policies.
Course contents:
Subject provides basic knowledge about EU, its goals, history, features, institutions and decision-making process, EU law and EU budget. Students also analyse the basic EU treaties, history of EU after establishment of European Communities, integrational process in EU with the focus on economic developments and creation of European monetary union, common agricultural policy, EU social policy and Common foreign and security policy and harmonization of national legal system with EU law.
