Assesment methods :
Evaluation during the course: quiz (10 points), preparation and presentation of seminary work (30 points), attending at least half of the lectures during the semester for granting credit - each attendance will be confirmed by signing the attendance list in the given week, actuality from Public Administration.
Final assessment: exam (written exam (60 points) + evaluation during the semester (40 points))
To obtain the evaluation A, it is necessary to obtain at least 93 points, for the evaluation B at least 86 points, for the evaluation C at least 79 points, for the evaluation D at least 72 points, and for the evaluation E at least 64 points.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The subject provides entire knowledge about management theory and public administration. The subject deals about goals, functions, systems, tools and policies of autonomous region units. It explains the history, key concepts, principles of building public administration and speaks about the causes and strategies of public administration reform. It also discusses the status of state administration and local government in the system of public administration. Part of the course is to analyze the current state of public administration in Slovakia as well as comparison of public administration models of selected EU countries.
After completion of the subject the student understands the history of public administration, reforms, the basic concepts and structure of . He is able to identify models of public administration and and he will know the current state of public administration in Slovakia.
