Assesment methods :
The term grade will consist of continuous assessment – presentation of seminar work (60 points) and end-of-term examination – oral exam(40 points).
Grading scale: letter grade A requires minimum 93 points, letter grade B requires minimum 86 points, letter grade C requires minimum 79 points, letter grade D requires minimum 72 points, letter grade E requires minimum 64 points. A student may earn units of credits in grading scale from A to E.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Graduate acquires knowledge and extends knowledge of tourism, rural tourism and its specific form, which is agrotourism. He is able to develop a business plan for entrepreneurship in rural tourism and agro-tourism; he is practicing field excursions and excursions to facilities and businesses providing various kinds of services in the rural environment (catering, accommodation, transport services, guides, specific and other ancillary services).
Course contents:
Rural tourism ang agritourism - as part of rural development and turism. Definition and forms. Strengths and weaknesses. Business projects - their content and elaboration. Economic and environmental aspects of agro-doctrine. Quality signs and their award. Field training in buildings and agro-tourism farms. Field exercises and excursions are carried out in cooperation with VPP SPU, Ltd. Kolíňany.
