Assesment methods :
During the semester will be 1 written exam (20 points), semestral project (20 points), and final combined exam for 60 points. To get an evaluation A is needed to prove the master of problems at least in 93%, for evaluation B at least in 86%, for evaluation C at least in 79%, for evaluation D at least in 72%, for evaluation E at least in 64%. The student gains the subject credits in case of evaluation from A to E.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The student on the base of ecquired knowledges knows the elemental toxicological notions and experimental testing of xenobiotics, is able to solve intoxication problems and to make a therapy proposal (theoretically), is able to apply the knowledges to elimination of xenoobiotics from our body (theoretically), is able to analyse the symptoms of poisoning and infections, is able to identify the consequence of the influence of inorganic and organic toxical substances in our body and environment.
Course contents:
The save manipulation with chemical substances and preparations. The classification and code designation of toxicological properties and dangerousness of chemical substances and preparations in SR and EU. The obligations of handlers with chemical and radioactive substances. Environmental toxicology of inorganic and organic compounds, with special regards on preparations of plant protection, infecting the environment. The chemical substances law and legislation in chemopollution. Toxins of animal and plant origin. The remedy in environmental. Biosphere as function of the changed conditions in ecosystem. The first aid and therapy of intoxication. An experimental evaluation of toxicity.
