Assesment methods :
Students will be assessed by a scoring system. The maximum number of points you can get for subject is 100 points, the points are divided: maximum 40 points for graduation exercises and other maximum 60 points for the exam.
Points during the semester (max. 40) are divided:
- final term paper with its presentation - maximum 15 points
- midterm written exam - maximum 20 points
- regular active participation in the exercises - 5 points
The minimum number of points for the exercises for getting credit is 26 points (about 64 %).
The minimum number of points for the exam (written form) is 38 points out of 60 (which is about 64 %).
Points achieved from exercises and exam are counted and the final grade for the subject shall be determined in accordance with accepted grading scale (A: 93-100 points, B: 86-92 points, C: 79-85 points, D : 72-78 points, E : 64-71 points; FX : 63 or less points).
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The graduates will understand the fundamental questions connected with the theory of finance and currency and its individual components, become familiar with the basic principles of financial relations, conceptual and categorical mechanism. The graduates will have knowledge of basic methods of area finance and currency that can be applied in practice and research work.

Course contents:
Content of finance, its structure and functions, financial propaedeutics, macroeconomic and microeconomic instruments of finance policy, financial system, money and its functions, cash sales and cash balance, forms, investment methods and criteria, monetary policy and system, credit and interest rate policy, payment settlement transaction.
