Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The aim of the subject is to review the issue of quality and introduce students the concept of total quality management principles and their apllication in regards to ensure product qaulity and safety.
Course contents:
Quality management deals with the importance, development, procedures, key principles, quality standards and quality management tools. Considerable attention is devoted to the philosophy of management by Deming, Juran, Ishikawa, Feigenbaum, Tagucchiho and Crosbyho and to implementation of quality systems in the food business. Subject allows students to develop skills and knowledge in the field of quality management of national and international quality policy, food policy, trade policy, consumer policy, marketing and distribution.
