Assesment methods :
Throughout semester a student can get 10 points for elaborating a seminar thesis, 10 points for its PPT presentation and 10 points for practical excercises. The final written examination is evaluated by max.70 points. To get an A mark it is necessary to get at least 93 points, for a B at least 86 points, for a C at least 79 points, for a D at least 72 points and for an E at least 64 points.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The aim is to teach students to assess and develop personal prerequisites for successful performance management work, to control the individual styles of leadership and how to use them depending on the situation, master the basics of team organization, theoretically and practically manage the preparation and conduct workshops. Identify sources of stress and conflict in the workplace and their possible solutions. After completing the course the student will be capable to handle all activities connected with the exercise managerial functions.
Course contents:
The main features of personality and positive deepening. Managers' personal characteristics and the structure of their competence. Managerial roles in managerial practice. Leadership and leadership styles. Power, authority, responsibility, and their relationship to the work of managers. The delegation, centralization and decentralization in decision-making. Team organization - development teams, the team leader position. Time management in practice of managerial work. Stress and its impact on the performance of managers. Sources of conflict on a workplace and methods to solve them.
