Prerequisites for registration: none
Assesment methods :
Seminar essay of chosen topic in 20 points. Active participation on lectures and seminar in 10 points. Elaboration of practical excercises in 10 points. Final written exam in 70 points. To obtain A mark will be needed to obtain at least 93 points, for the evaluation of B mark at least 86 points, C mark at least 79 points, for the evaluation of D mark at least 72 points and for the evaluation of E mark at least 64 points.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The student on this course will be able to understand an importance of consumer behavior and consumer researching as well as an European citizen and differences in the home and European consumption. After the course, the student is able to define the factors of consumer behaviour with the consequent ability to propose production for agri-food products for European and world markets.
Course contents:
Course explains different aspects of consumer behaviour as a result of historical, political and economic development, explains the impact of attitudes and values to form the consumer behaviour, as well as development of trends and adaptation to customers´preferencies. There is an important role to identify specifics factors of consumer behavior, sustainable consumption, to define consumer differences between European consumers and to understand the basic model of purchasing decision.
