Assesment methods :
Project (25 points) and project presentation (15 points): for grade A minimum 37 points are necessary, for grade B minimum 32 points are necessary, for grade C minimum 32 points are necessary, for grade D minimum 29 points are necessary, for grade E minimum 26 points are necessary.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Student completely understands the economic phenomena and processes and is able to formulate not only one-sided judgment based on the knowledge of economic and sociological theories, concepts as well as empirical dates. Completing the subject enables student to communicate effectively and to solve practical situations in real professional and individual life in the society.
Course contents:
Historical context of the origin of sociology. Relation between sociology and economics. Economically oriented applied sociology. Basic sociological terms and concepts. Sociological concept of business organization. Working groups. Work as a social category. Symbolic capital in economy. Market and postsocialism. Economy and civilization challenges. New social risks and their consequences. Quantitative empirical survey in sociology. Qualitative empirical survey in sociology and triangulation.
