Assesment methods :
Development and presentation of the project (40 points), final exam (60 points).
For obtaining the evaluation "A" is necessary receive least 93 points, for evaluation "B" minimum 86 points, for evaluation "C" minimum 79 points, for evaluation "D" minimum 72 points and for evaluation "E" least 64 points. Student acquires credits for subject only in the case of A - E evaluation.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The student understands the impact of internal indicators as well as indicators of the breeding environment for the laying process. He will understood principles regulating the laying process, become familiar with the factors positively influencing poultry hatching process as well as the factors that could reproductive process affect negatively. The student is able to assess the hatching egg quality and handle insemination technique. Theoretical knowledge and practical skills can be applied in managing of the hatching process.
Course contents:
Anatomy and physiology of the reproductive organs of poultry, poultry reproductive cycle, the impact of internal and environmental factors on the laying cycle, regulation of the laying cycle, the causes of variation, possibilities of laying cycle and eggs quality influencing, diseases affecting the poultry reproductive process, poultry insemination, factors affecting the quality of the egg before oviposition, causes of eggs damages, variables affecting egg fertility, incubation process, hatchability and embryonic mortality in poultry.
