Prerequisites for registration: none
Assesment methods :
During the semester there will be 2 written tests for 20 points and a final written exam for 60 points. To obtain the evaluation A it is necessary to obtain at least 93 points, for the evaluation B at least 86 points, for the evaluation C at least 79 points, for the evaluation D at least 72 points and for the evaluation E at least 64 points.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The aim is present a basic terminology of animal production biotechnology, production and application of gene manipulation, biodiversity a, nutrigenomics methods a application in practice.
After completion of the subject the student understands theoretical and practical sense of biotechnology in animal production, is able to solve problems in practice,is able to apply knowledge in practice, is able to analyse and identify problems with respect to legislative and etical lows.

genome of farm animals, DNA polymorphism, DNA recombinant technology, micromanipulation methods, animal transgenesis, cloning - nuclear transfer, genpharming, gene therapy, biotechnology in animal reproduction, biotechnology in animal breeding, production of biological active products, biotechnology and food sacurity, etics and legislative
