During the semester there will be 1 written test of 20 points, the presentation of the essay for 20 points and a final written exam for 60 points. To obtain an evaluation A the students must obtain at least 93 points, for the evaluation B at least 86 points, C rating at least 79 points, D rating at least 72 points, E rating at least 64 points.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
|Absolovent subject of chemical toxicology understand basic concepts in the chemical toxicology, gaining information about how toxic interactions with living organisms, their effects and limits available to the human body. Absolovent can applied his knowledge about classification of toxic substances and about legislation. He is able to applying acquired theoretical knowledge in practice.|
Make known with the general concepts of toxicology (the substance, effect, texture, exposure, interaction, absorption, biotransformation, excretion, effects on the body), to estimate the effects of chemicals. Mechanisms of action (irritation, narcosis, inhibitory substances, indicating the substance, carcinogenic, mutagenic, teratogenic and allergenic substances and their effects). toxicology of substances (inorganic toxicants, organic toxicants, poisons, drugs and pollutants). Chemical toxicological hazards in the environment. Methods of protection against toxic substances.
