Assesment methods :
Elaboration and presentation of semestral work evaluated by 40 points, final exam evaluated by 60 points. For evaluation A it is neccesary to obtain min. 93 points, for evaluation B it is neccesary to obtain min. 86 points, for evaluation C it is neccesary to obtain min. 79 points, for evaluation D it is neccesary to obtain min. 72 points and for evaluation E it is neccesary to obtain min. 64 points.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Subject is focused on explanaion of specific methods and principles of isolation and detection of biologicaly active substances. After completion of the subject the student understands in detail methods of isolation, purification and physical - chemical analysis of biological active substances, as are chromatography (ionexchange, affinity), electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE, A-PAGE), ELISA, RIA, mass spectroscopy.
Course contents:
Methods of qualitative and quantitative analysis od biological active substances - electrophoresis, chromatography, immunochemical methods and mass spectrometry.
