Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Subject Molecular Endocrinology devoted to knowledge of molecular and subcellular characteristics of endocrine processes. The student will understand molecular essentially the action of hormones, hormone receptor interactions, activation scale servo intracellular activation cascades (transcriptional factors, protein kinases, phosphokinase and so on.). Graduated lessons learned can be applied in other biological disciplines in the curriculum of molecular biology.
Course contents:
The subject of Molecular endocrinology is aimed at postgraduate level, this subject provides students with a solid knowledge in the basics of molecular endocrinology. This subject, summarizes the area and provides an in depth discussion of the molecular aspects of hormone action, including hormone-receptor interactions, second messenger generation, gene induction, and post-transcriptional control. Includes new information on growth factors, hematopoietic-immune factors, nonclassical hormones, receptors, transduction, transcriptional regulation, as well as other relevant topics.
