Assesment methods :
During the semester there will be 2 written tests in 15 points, semester project and its presentation in 10 points and a final written exam in 60 points. To obtain A mark will be needed to obtain at least 93 points, for the evaluation of B mark at least 86 points, C mark at least 79 points, for the evaluation of D mark at least 72 points and for the evaluation of E mark at least 64 points.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The student deepens the knowledge in the issue of plant transgenosis. The student becomes familiar with the basic approaches for transgenic plant preparation, and their analyses. The student obtains an overview on the current cultivation of genetically modified plants at home and in the world. The student becomes familiar with the legislative regulations relating to genetically modified plants.

Course contents:
Methods used for preparation of transgenic plants, preparation of expression cassettes, preparation of plant transformation vector constructs for plant transformation, methods used in the analyses of transgenic plants, transgenic plants in commercial environment and their potential impacts (socio-economic, environmental and cultural), legislation on genetically modified plants.
