Form of evaluation and completion subject: credit, dissertation examination.
Processing of a seminary thesis.
Final assessment: defense of seminary thesis.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Mastering the theoretical and methodological assumptions of new approaches and innovation in economics and management of public administration.
Assessment of conditions, assumptions and basic principles of implementation of modern methods and innovations in the management of public administration in order to improve the creation of documents and proposals for decision-making, and also for the increase of efficiency and quality of public services.
Establishing problematic issues of applying new approaches in Slovakia and finding answers to them.
After completing the course students will be familiar with new methods and tools of economic management and public administration leading to an increase in the quality, efficiency and performance.
Course contents:
- Experience of foreign approaches to the modernization of public administration,
- Methods and tools of Economics and Management in Public Administration (Strategic Management, Balanced Scorecard, Good Governance and Smart Administration, knowledge management, learning organization, benchmarking, quality control methods and performance in particular ISO, CAF, PDCA cycle, effective and efficient methods financial management and control particular program budgeting, controlling and other
- Implementation of modern techniques and tools of action, innovative, flexible and project approach necessary to solve problems in areas under market economy conditions of decentralizing public administration.
