Final written exam (60 points), home assignments (20 points), paper (20 points). To pass the course it is necessary to receive at least 64 points out of 100.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The graduate will be able to analyze the influence of international markets, fiscal, monetary, trade, and structural policies on the domestic economy, employment, output, exchange rates, interest rates and other relevant variables. The graduate of this course will be able to evaluate the impact of technology, demographic development and government policies on economic growth and the impact of economic growth on households and firms. The student will be able to assess the pros and cons of the European economic integration.
Course contents:
Economic growth (Solow, Ramsey-Cass-Koopmans, Diamond, new growth theories|, real business model, Keynesian model of economic fluctuations, consumption, investment, inflation and monetary policy, unemployment, economic integration, monetary union
