Assesment methods :
The term grade will consist of continuous assessment – semestral work (20 points), individual project (20 points) and end-of-term examination will comprise oral and written parts (60 points).
Grading scale: letter grade A requires minimum 93 points, letter grade B requires minimum 86 points, letter grade C requires minimum 79 points, letter grade D requires minimum 72 points, letter grade E requires minimum 64 points.
A student may earn units of credits in grading scale from A to E.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The aim of the course is to teach students basic digital logic circuits used in computing. The student understands the design of combinational and sequential circuits, able to solve practical problems requiring the use of digital circuits, can apply knowledge of digital techniques can analyze hazards and undefined states in digital circuits and is able to identify the structure of digital circuits.
Course contents:
Logical system, Element parameters of the logical system, Combination circuits, Encoding and decoding, Sequential circuits, Codes to represent the data in AD and DA converters, Pseudo-random binary sequence generator, Processor, System clock frequency sources
