Assesment methods :
Course credit: preparation of design for sewage network and waste water treatment plant in selected village

To obtain marking as A - excelent must be obtained at least 93 points, for marking as B - very good must be obtained at least 86 points, for marking as C – good must be obtained at least 79 points, for marking as D - satisfactory must be obtained at least 72 points, and for marking as E – sufficient must be obtained at least 64 points. Student obtains a course-credit for subject in the case of marking from A to E.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Waste water quantity, quality, evaluation of the content of substances in the effluent, type of wastewater and draining, sewerage network, sewerage network in urban and rural area.
Sewage treatment - the need for treatment in villages, solving technological procedures mechanical wastewater treatment, biological wastewater treatment, the processing of sewage sludge, other wastes from the wastewater treatment process.
Course contents:
The course will bring together the issue of sewage and treatment of them. The issue will be solved especially for rural areas.
The specific content of the course is - the amount of waste water, non-uniformity of their creation, types of wastewater, pollutants in effluent waters from surface runoff, Sewage systems gravitational, vacuum and pressurized.
Wastewater treatment - mechanical, biological, nutrient removal, sludge management,
production of biogas.
Alternative methods of wastewater treatment.
