Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Student will obtain the knowledge about development aspect of landscape from the view point of alternative forms of landscape utilization. He will attain symbols and types of cultural landscape and the typology of Slovakia cultural landscapes. The evaluation of these landscapes being included aesthetic qualities and perception of them.
Course contents:
Cultural landscape definition. Man and landscape, mutual relations, development aspects. Landscape and its functions. Landscape as food source and other natural resources, as human environment, space of genepool and biodiversity, space of aesthetic perceives. Cultural landscape, its typology and structure. Dynamic functions of cultural landscape. Assessment and perceiving of cultural landscape by man. Landscape aesthetic and beauty, the landscape image. Methods for assessment of culture historical and visual - aesthetic lanscape quality. Objective and subjective methods. Landscape elements and technical works in landscape as visual - aesthetic barriers. Importance and participation of ladscape vegetation in landscape image design, category of landscape cultural vegetation. Culture and landscape cultural heritage. Veduty a panorámy ako nástroje priestorového hodnotenia krajinného obrazu. Veduts and panoramas as tool for spatial assessment of landscape image.
