Assesment methods :
Course credit: processing solutions for the design project of the basic parameters of the water and sewer system, the required amount of water and effluent treatment plant for small community

To obtain marking as A - excelent must be obtained at least 93 points, for marking as B - very good must be obtained at least 86 points, for marking as C – good must be obtained at least 79 points, for marking as D - satisfactory must be obtained at least 72 points, and for marking as E – sufficient must be obtained at least 64 points. Student obtains a course-credit for subject in the case of marking from A to E.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
After completion of the subject the student is able to solve water management infrastructure for small communities, to apply input data for solution design and operation of water supply, sewerage systems in rural areas or other small objects. Obtained knowledge enables to apply in design, projecting and service of water supply, sewerage systems in rural areas. After completion of eth subject the student is able to solve the proposal for municipal networks and facilities necessary for the operation of water supply and sewerage in a small village.
Course contents:
Engineer networks - classification and significance. The need of water for people, industry and agriculture. Surface and groundwater wells. Water treatment - chemical, biological and mechanical methods. Distribution of water - design principles, materials, sizing. Sewage - means sewage transfer. Waste-water types of pollution, the formation and properties. Sewage - mechanical, biological and chemical methods. Small wastewater treatment systems. Extensive methods of wastewater treatment.
