Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Student receives knowledge on theory of green infrastructure designing in settlements and continual connection to the landscape. Will able to define of the infrastructure elements and their partitiation according to function values. Student will identify ecological and environmental issues of settlements and will able to propose optimal space organisation of green infrastructure for the purpose of multifunctional quality increasing of urban environment.
Course contents:
Theory for green infrastructure designing in settlements and landscape. Social, political, economy, ecology, environment and cultural - aesthetic aspects of green infrastructure. Development of settlement´s structure with emphasize to the green infrastructure elements. Environmental features and changes of urban environment, emmission load, urban climate, urban soils, water in settlements. Flows of matters and energy in settlements, traditions and alternatives. Ecology issues of settlenments, urban flora and fauna, biodiversity, synantropization, changes and effects on urban environment quality. Classification of the green structure elements, urban vegetation, water streams and areas. Ecosystem services of green infrastructure elements classification and qualitative assessment of services. Optimisation of green infrastructure, standards of minimum facilities in settlements and connection to the lansdscape in meaning of TSES and Green-ways and Blue one designing.
