Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with current approaches to various types of environmental audits in the manufacturing sector and their certification. Students will have the opportunity to know the environmental impact of the enterprise defined audit; audit of the risks associated with environmental audit of relevant product, material, waste, etc.; environmental audit taking into account the impact of the establishment of a particular service in a particular place, which assesses the impact of its action on a specific location; particular environmental audit, taking into account all environmental impacts associated with the overall functioning of the business. Furthermore, students will be familiar with the so-called consent audit, audit undertaken after the disaster, audit of risks and audit of environmental management on the environment. Students will also be able to familiarize themselves with the preparation of an environmental company's balance sheet, which is then available to the public. The objective of this subject is also facilitating the management actions that could have a negative impact on the environment and conformity assessment of these facts with the environmental policy. Requirements for environmental audit are subject to standards EN ISO 14010, 14011 and 14012. Environmental audit as a voluntary undertaking of responsibility for the environment. It is an assessment of internal and external auditors perform audits. When the audit is in the EC No.1836/93 on environmental auditing identifies aspects, which include: assessment and monitoring activities to minimize impacts on the environment, energy management, including potential savings and the use of unconventional energy sources available, use and treatment of essential and auxiliaries, including water, evaluation, control and noise reduction, the use of new, innovative and updated technology, production preparation, corporate environmental protection and distribution contracts, occupational safety and health protection of workers, environmental training and education of personnel, but also in public environment. Environmental audit will bring many benefits to enterprises, in particular: reduce costs, reduce risk, improve business competitiveness and the improvement of factory organization of the business.
Course contents:
Environmental auditing and certification is a management tool that includes a systematic, documented, periodic and objective evaluation of the periodic performance of the organization, management and procedures for the protection of the environment. Environmental audit system is an essential element for the implementation of environmental management system, which should take place in three stages: preparation, execution and evaluation. Types of audits. Environmental audit is considered an audit of environmental protection and environmental management and as such serves to systematic, documented periodic and objective assessment of how well the organization, its management and equipment for environmental protection. The aim is to integrate approaches to protecting and creating the environment into business practice. Teaching will be based on EU Regulation No. 1836/93 and from the fact that in this system, some countries already included agriculture and forestry sector.
