Learning outcomes of the course unit:
To teach the students about basics of toxicology and phytopharmacy, legislation in plant protection field, certain methods and strategies of chemical protection against the main diseases and pests. After completion of the subject the students will be able to apply the most appropriate chemical control against fungal pathogens and animal pests of plants.
Course contents:
Advantages and disadvantages of pesticides using in agriculture. Name and structure of the pesticides. Mode of action of certain groups of pesticides. Application forms and formulation of pesticides in plant protection. Mixing of pesticides. Certain methods of chemical control of the main diseases and pests.
