Assesment methods :
The term grade will consist of continuous assessment – one written exam (10 points), semestral work (20 points) and end-of-term examination will comprise written and practical computer skills (70 points).
Grading scale: letter grade A requires minimum 93 points, letter grade B requires minimum 86 points, letter grade C requires minimum 79 points, letter grade D requires minimum 72 points, letter grade E requires minimum 64 points.
A student may earn units of credits in grading scale from A to E.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
After completion of the subject the student is able to apply theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the planning and managing of agrobiological experiments, biostatistical analysis and processing of experimental data. Student is able to analyse statistical outputs for interpretation of the scientific hypotheses results.
Course contents:
Methodology of experimental work. Terminology in experimentation. Experimental methods, experimental design. Managing of experiments and data mining. Descriptive statistics, data classification. Probability and data distribution. Inductive statistics, point and interval estimation. Testing of statistical hypotheses, parametric and non parametric tests. Analysis of variance. Post-hoc tests. Relationships between variables correlation and linear regression analysis.
