Assesment methods :
During the semester there will be 1 written test with 20 points, working out the project with 20 points and a final oral exam for 60 points. To obtain grade A must be obtained at least 93 points, for the evaluation of at least 86 points B, C rating on at least 79 points, for the evaluation of at least 72 points D and E on the evaluation of at least 64 points.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Make known of students with requirements of different animal breeds on breeding environment in refer to hygiene, welfare, production, reproduction and health.
Providing knowledge - after completion of the studied subject the student is able to analyze the possible factors of breeding environment and their effect on different farm animals from the point of welfare, health and performance. and to apply knowledge into breeding system to diminish their effect. Student is able to apply the knowledge into breeding proceedings and improve animal hygiene of domestic animals.
Course contents:
Basic hygiene requirements for quality livestock environment in relation to thermoregulation, yield, health and welfare of farm animals. Protecting farms against the introduction of infection diseases. Hygiene of milk removal, care of hooves and body surface. Prevention of production diseases. Students in practical conditions on VPP farm obtain knowledge about the evaluation method of animal health requirements for the environment and farming technology. Analysis of mastitid control program.
