Assesment methods :
The term grade will consist of continuous assessment – two written exams 20 points each (40 points). The final exam (60 points) is combined (written and oral exam). Grading scale: letter grade A requires minimum 93 points, letter grade B requires minimum 86 points, letter grade C requires minimum 79 points, letter grade D requires minimum 72 points, letter grade E requires minimum 64 points.
A student may earn units of credits in grading scale from A to E.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
After completion of the subject the student understands of basic knowledge of agrochemistry and basic principles of stoichiometric calculations related to application of mineral fertilizers, is able to solve problems of elements in system soil-plant-animal-human, is able to apply knowledge in problems related to agrochemistry, is able to identify and prepare of solution agrochemicals and their application in agriculture.
Course contents:
Major molecules and compounds, physical processes and chemical reaction by the production of agrochemicals. Compounds used in the agricultural practice and agricultural research. Agrochemicals like the donor micronutrients and heavy metals into biological process and environments. Relations between structure and property of major bioorganic compounds and organic agrochemicals. Main knowledge about pesticides.
