Assesment methods :
During the semester will be written test for 40 points, developing the project and presentation for 60 points. To obtain the evaluation A is needed to gain at least 93 points, for B is needed to gain at least 86 points, for C is needed to gain at least 79 points, for D is needed to gain at least 72 points and for E is needed to gain at least 64 points.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The goal of the subject is gaining theoretical knowledge and practical skills in working with Spreadsheet MS Excel 2016 at an advanced level. A graduate of this subject will be able to use advanced features of Excel, to perform various analyzes, become familiar with the basics of working with macros and VBA programming. Excel is a comprehensive tool with a very wide range of uses and is currently one of the most desirable employer’s applications.
Course contents:
Design and creation of large-scale models using formulas. Using, nesting and combining functions. Analysis of models - sensitive, scenario. Import and export data, dynamic links. Introduction to working with macros. Creating, editing, and running macros. Creating your own functions. Introduction to VBA. Declaration procedures and functions. Creating custom dialogs. Case studies - using macros and VBA in economic models.
