Assesment methods :
During the semester there will be one practical written tests - 40 points/test, students develop Semestral Project - 10 points, the final theoretical written test - 50 points.

Overall evaluation: A> 93 points B 92-86 points C 85-79 points 78-72 points D, E 71-64 points.

Credits will be awarded to students whose evaluation of written tests, project and theoretical test will be more than 50% of the scoring.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students will deepen their knowledge and practical skills gained at Statistics I A. Their skills will be applied on social and economic phenomenon evaluation. Their practical skills will be broaden by work on case studies from real managerial and economic practice. Student will gain knowledge of using more sophisticated statistical methods for qualified decision making on the micro and also macro level. Students will also learn how to apply various statistical methods with using professional statistical software. This subject does not emphasize only learning of new knowledges, but also develop students´ analytical skills and logical thinking.
Course contents:
The course provides theoretical and practical knowledge of statistical methods and procedures for application in management and economics . Subject is closely related to the statistics I A and continue with following topics :
1 Ona-way Analysis of Variance, pairwise comparison tests , application of analysis of variance using the statistical software Stata .
2 Two-way Analysis of Variance, assumptions which should be meet when using analysis of variance, case studies,
3 Exploring the correlations between qualitative variables , Chi-square test of independence, application in the evaluation questionnaire surveys . Application of acquired knowledge using the available software solutions..
4 Exploring the correlation between quantitative variables , covariance , coefficients of correlation, Pearson , Spearman , Kendall . Graphical exploration , practical application of acquired knowledge with available statistical software . Case studies
5 Regression analysis .Assumptions of regression analysis use ,Simple regression, functional forms , linear regression , nonlinear regression
6 Multiple regression analysis , using software Stata for regression analysis .
7 Case studies using regression and correlation analysis, application of the method using real data .
8 Analysis of financial and economic time series . Graphical analysis , time series components, analysis of trend
9 Analysis of the cyclical component in time series, seasonality in time series and approaches to eliminate seasonality . Case studies of time series in the economic analysis .
10 Indices , practical applications in the financial and economic analysis .
11 Exam - a comprehensive test of statistical knowledge obtained during the semester
12 Solution of individual projects – students should be able to apply their knowledgein practice and demonstrate the ability to work independently with the data. Studens can use in project dataneeded to their bachelor thesis.
