Prerequisites for registration:
Assesment methods :
In the course of the semester will be in full-time education 2 written tests with 20 points and the external form of education 1 test for 40 points. To obtain credit, a student must obtain at least 15 points out of 40 points. Final written exam will be 60 points. To obtain a trial A must be obtained at least 93 points, for the evaluation of at least 86 points B, C rating on at least 79 points, for the evaluation of at least 72 points D and E on the evaluation of at least 64 points.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The student understands the general basis cytological, morphological and physiological characteristics of microorganisms and metabolic activity of microorganisms in the environment. The student can inserted into the classification system of living organisms. The student can work with an optical microscope to measure and count the cells of microorganisms to determine their metabolic products, identify important microorganisms in the cycle of elements.
Course contents:
Cytology, morphology and ecological significance of microorganisms. Nutrition of microorganism and factors affecting their growth and reproduction. Relationships between each other microorganisms. Practical and acquiring basic microbiological techniques, preparation of microscopic preparations, observation of fundamental morphological characters, ways of measuring and counting microorganisms.
